Chapter One: Hiding Places

Chapter One: Hiding Places

A Chapter by Chanel-Rosalee

The sweet smell of fresh roses fill the air. The soft, gentle sound of a woman's voice whispering surrounds my sensitive ears. I can see flashes of her face. However, they are too blurry to make out. Confused, I try to ask who she is. But not a single sound escapes from my tender lips. I reach my hand out to ever so gently hold her face, for just a moment of clarity. For a split second my vision of her clears like the clouds after a storm. I can feel my arms weaken, tremble. I am scared of her; not scared in a sense of terror, but petrified of the unknown. I close my eyes, mentally preparing for the final image of a woman I have only seen in my dreams. I slowly open my eyes and...
Nothing. Why am I damned to dream such a dream that never unravels? Why must I never see her face? Is this woman the future me? Can I not see her until I find the real me? Thousands of possibilities race through my head. Nevertheless, one day I will see her. Be it through dreams or reality.

Not bad. Tighten a few nuts and bolts in the structure and you will be golden
