Storm Child

Storm Child

A Poem by Tenten

In the midst of this storm
Torrents of rain and cold wind zephyrs
I recall being a child
Waiting for the fair to come
Anticipating rides, booths,
Bad for you, great tasting, over priced snacks
As the thunder beats overhead
Un-matching images still hold
The same joy of raw love

Oh, I love it! I still wait for the fair to come... this year bought me a bucket of french fries and a overpriced glow in the dark sword, saw two cows going at, went for a romp in the rubber bouncy house...saw some kickass photography, an old room mate selling sausage subs (that was pretty goddamn funny), and a lady walk off the platform at the end of the house of mirrors.. i mean, s**t.. she made it all that way to the end and *zip*, right off the platform, "someone call the ambulance, she ain't movin', dang!"...oh, yes, the fair is so not fair, but always so frickin' fun! Nice write, thanks for sharing. This one was right up my alley.
