I'm Progressing

I'm Progressing

A Poem by Tenten

You said I couldn't do it

You said I was too high strung
Off a life that required
More sacrifice of desire
Than others my age

You said I've got too much pride
My mouth stays open with insults
Meaning to scar

You said I'll run away from it
Because my fear of responsibility
Disdain for the expected ruin me

                I'm trying, I'm moving
                I'm progressing

                                You're right, it's unwilling
My struggles are endless
My fear pervades

                but
I'm trying, I'm moving
I'm progressing

I think that other's lack of belief in me is what motivates me the most!!! Well said!
