A step towards responsibility
A pile of applications
A future of paychecks and late nights
A step towards reality
That delves past into bohemian lifestyle preference
A step towards mothers wish
Of becoming society’s best
A step away from that promise we made
Of becoming our best
A step
A walk
A run
Towards or away
Is this a gift or threat
At an ending
