John Are You Jesus?

John Are You Jesus?

A Story by Tenten
"

this is sort of a story teller spoke word piece based on a tripping dream illusion.

"

In a dream of what life could be
I ran across John
Or he passed by me
On a deserted river side
That seemed more a trickled stream
In desert settings
As the heat ate away at blossoming beauty

Washing my feet in cool water
Like a plant devouring life
Letting waves wash away
The sand of walking
Sores of existing here
He took a seat to my right
And joined me in cleaning away
The dregs of past lingering

With simple words we talked
In tongues of a Sun God
Settlers to the south
colonies rejecting Kings
On life, of paths, of doing what
In my eyes, is seen as right
We argued

Over my lack of will to move
Over my need to make something
Do something that proves
We exist as more than passing seconds
Shouting in tongues of Sun Gods
Rebelling colonists
and Mayan crossbreeds
We moved together

As we parted with wise words
I stared up into his eyes
"Hey John, are you Jesus?"
With that smile, in sandals and white robes
"Why? Does it really matter to you?"
His pointed look, my nonchalant shrug
"No not really, just wanna know."
He moves away,
"So John are you Jesus?"
"You said it doesn't matter, till another time."
He steps away so easily

Settling down to this pounding rives
Admiring hills of greenery
The mountains are close
But too far to walk in this setting moment
So contemplate his words
Wondering when I move, when this tick
Becomes the resounding talk
In a rebel against society commune setting
