Dictated Day

Dictated Day

A Poem by Tenten

Raw pieces of the broken heart
Make their way across this page
With the music of back then
The clicks of broken nails
Across a keyboard worn
Away with this month’s use
Knowing confidently
Your occupied eyes
Shall never meet a childhood confession
Preoccupied mind that holds you
As raw pieces of a broken heart
Find that scream you never heard
Once more, for the day
Till night offers suffrage
In the form of stars and forest floors
Mother smiling from above
