Reunion

Reunion

A Poem by Tenten

The comfortable flow of rings and screams
This is a family time moment
Focusing on the relation of years and health
Blood plays little importance
As you slip into the smooth song and dance
Of being with a soul
Gone from sight too many years
Only to meet once more in that place
You swore to never be again
With a little more liquor, a couple of changes
And the knowledge that the rules of then
Do not reach the now
Talking with people
Years ago you swore to hate
For eternity and the remaining semester
The comfortable flow of rings and screams
