Childs Thoughts

Childs Thoughts

A Poem by Tenten

The scent of summer dew
Mixed in early morning heat
Sun beating down
On tired eyes craving sleep
Inspires the flood gates to open
Revealing in memory before
Reality becomes clear

Days spent playing tag
Hiding behind trees
And broken down cars
Breaking watermelons on the ground
Escaping the late night mosquito bites
The parks are home for a moment
Running through grass and swings
This is reality for the time being
