Grandpa, I thought

Grandpa, I thought

A Poem by Tenten

The scent of dew mixed with sunshine
Summer heat escaping through the blinds
To tired night eyes
Spending late night hours by riversides
Whispering fae time prayers

But for the moment
Nostalgia swirls inside hearts
Pulling soul strings
With a bit of pain
At goodbye memories where
Those loved players have gone
From this time, space, moment

Remember smiles, laughter,
The smell of summer fruit
And bitter beat in humid air
Menchito's dancing to music
That holds a heritage swing

Slipping from his eyes to run around the ponds
Knowing he'll protect us
From any bad day demons
So we stay sweet with summer days
Playing in his eyes,
A sweetest memory
