Forever Fly?

Forever Fly?

A Poem by Tenten

we figured we could fly forever
in a dream that cost nothing
but the expense of reality
leaving behind our fears
those horrid day to day worries
existing in that place
where smiles where too common
and voices sang in art

that stars where our beds
the world was our nest
we left for galaxies unknown
leaving behind a trail
to find out way back
to that place we had forgotten
was dubbed home back in childhood eyes
those thin white lines of dust

faeries told us no lies
just so long as our version of truth
changed to meet the requirements
of alternate realities
society could not comprehend
in basement seats and kitchen tables
we found this self-proclaimed peace
the land of dreams always
