First Love

First Love

A Poem by Tenten

Recall your first love
Those butterflies in your belly
That blush you couldn't get rid of
The incessant need to touch
To have the feel of first love
You swore would go on forever
Past eternity your hearts to one
In a Beatles type of love song
Across the Universe love survives all
It conquers wars and hunger
Destroys pain and grants salivation
That's your love, the two of you
Saving the world because one simple
She smiled and you laughed
Remember your first love
Don't forget now
Aside from the hurt of loss
You still had it in you
To go for another quirky smile
Another obsessive personality
That flows to Beatles, theme songs,
And you
Think on new love and how it
Shall always pervade you
Until rainy nights and no umbrella's
Chose to leave a kiss
