Ashes

Ashes

A Poem by Tenten

Ashes burned on my wrist
The incense fell again
Left behind red mars
Tender to the touch
The lick
The kiss
Of wind promised freedom
Leading the mind beyond town lines
To fields and weeds
The unknown quality of man
Waiting for another taste
Tainted innocence left behind
Like red lines marring flesh
For enjoyment moment
Till the world beats down denial
In another stolen mockery of passion
In once child eyes
