The Moment

The Moment

A Poem by Tenten

The moment I said I love you
I meant those words with all of who I am
The moment I said Good-bye
I dreaded those words with all of who I am
The day you stopped seeing my existence
I thought I could die of sorrow
The night you no longer acknowledged my presence
I created a pyre for myself then…for our past
                the present, the dreamt future
The moment you reemerged, a quick pin drop
I believed this heart would still
The second there was no response
I learned continuing without you is my best option
