Missed Out

being born too late, missing too much

 

 

we missed the 60's

the beat nics

the sex

the flow

the finding freedom

the belief the world can change

that society can be turned

we miss the 70's

the drugs

the sex

the hippies

the meaning of 'free love'

of 'peace'

that the world can change

that it can with our hands

we missed so much

and now we are in 2008

and 'All You Need Is Love'

is still a theme song

and the hope

the flow

the belief

that we can change the world

still pervades

in these random souls

that may not quite catch the words

the feel of good intent

so we missed a few decades

and exist in a new error

trying to create the flow that

someday somebody's going to get

and smile endlessly with, to,

always by the side

of theme songs created

far behind their own existence
