The Strength

The Strength

A Poem by Tenten

Give me courage to believe
That as our lips meet
This love won't fade into
Shames shadows, fear embrace

When we leave the safety of this bedroom
Walk into the world of judging gazes
Our locked hands will protect us
From the human fear of the unknown
Give me strength to be here
For her

If...When the taunts and cruelty
Become too much, when she
Believes this pain will break her
For the moment she gives into doubt
Let me be here
Let me be strong
For her
....for her

So when I have those moments
Maybe she can be strong for me
And our tears will be the end
Of acknowledging their cruelty
Recognition of our own hearts

Just... Wow. This is incredibly beautiful. Th rhythm, the message, just everything is perfect. You went beyond the physical connection (which is what I usually see, aka kissing and hugging) and you went beyond that and to the mental connection. Thank god you didn't only mention loving eachother, but the bond that is created. The way you will protect one another.

I'm very impressed (:
