Collection Call

Collection Call

A Poem by Tenten

I know it seems silly
But I wanna pick up the phone and call you
 Collection call across the universe
Ask how your days have been
Did you dream well last night
I speak to John Lennon in my dreams
Are you eating well
Everything is alright right?
I know you still sneak a drink in
You've quite smoking haven't you?..
I'm happier than I thought I could be
I wish you were here with me
This is a collection call to the land of dead
How are you doing
Do you miss us
Dear deity’s I miss you every day
Especially when the sun reflects the past
And I can smell the oil from your clothes in the air
Or hear the echo of the music you love
Sometimes I catch a glimpse
Of your truck moving down the street
The image of you fades too quickly
Times up, I gotta say bye for the moment
Collection call across the universe
To the land of the dead
I'm hoping you’re happy
On days like these I miss you so much
Please be happy
You’re always inside me... my heart
