Memories of Then

Memories of Then

A Poem by Tenten

The memories I hold from then
Will be kept safe in my heart
From age, distance, time
The special something keeping me sane
Keeping me going
They will not be tainted
By the failings of our relationship
The anger, sorrow, reluctant forgiveness
They will always be the safety
We craved in years past
Those smiles we rarely gave
True prize, the memories
I hold
From then.
