Happy Fathers Day
nineteen years later
you're trying to learn
it's not too late
for me to
know you
but your times run short
on gaining her forgiveness
that getting to know her
I can learn who you are
in the way artists learn each other
but a father figure, you're late
as the man that stands
you can't really be a solid Dad
that's fine, no worries
got use to this early
she's still setting flames in your life
as punishment...payment
for nights you weren't home
Happy Father's Day
nineteen years later
at least you're finally trying
