Happy Fathers Day

Happy Fathers Day

A Poem by Tenten

Happy Fathers Day
nineteen years later
you're trying to learn

it's not too late
for me to
know you

but your times run short
on gaining her forgiveness
that getting to know her

I can learn who you are
in the way artists learn each other
but a father figure, you're late
as the man that stands
you can't really be a solid Dad

that's fine, no worries
got use to this early
she's still setting flames in your life
as punishment...payment
for nights you weren't home

Happy Father's Day
nineteen years later
at least you're finally trying
