she said

she said

A Poem by Tenten

She said I created your insanity

She said I drove you past

            Edges, brinks, cliffs, and roads

She said I am to blame for the birth of pain

She said the madness lies in these palms

            Stealing you away from reality

She said cruel words impassively

She said truth I dare not accept

Drowning out her words in imagined lies

And here I sit by your side

And here I exist your lover pride

            Driving you beyond insanity

And her I lay in your warmth

And her I am creating passion

With finger tips and dried lips

And here I will be for a long while

And here I find contentment

To your moans and pleas of further

She said I created your insanity

And here I weave the beauty of depravity

What does she know about it anyway? It's easy to look at another and judge it, only you and he know what is real, what is true. Sanity is highly overrated anyway. This is so riveting, I couldn't stop reading. I'm glad "you" didn't let her convince you. While us gals are bewitching, it is the men who seek to be bewitched, is it not? Two to tango is what I mean, as I'm sure my last sentence works both ways. Excellent piece!!

I like this piece... "She said I created your insanity" I like how you repeated this line throughout the poem...

My favorites lines have to be...
"She said cruel words impassively
She said truth I dare not accept
Drowning out her words in imagined lies" great job!
