dreamt his soul your face

dreamt his soul your face

A Poem by Tenten

I dreamt that things where right

In an old place with new lands
Accompanied by names you don’t know
You stepped up to be counted
A pack mates place no longer occupied
Hugs and laughs followed the conversation
Awkward and silent on my behalf
As names you don’t know, that didn’t know
Our past but wonder “Will she be ok,
Can she survive this test”
Then the clouded morning greets tired eyes
And I am left to realize
In a dream with you face, your voice, your smile
The charming soul was the midnight combo
Of a man who owns my heart
Two new unseen smiles that charm with words
That is why in a dream seeing your face
Didn’t quite hurt these eyes, this heart,…me.
