i wondered

i wondered

A Poem by Tenten

I wondered maybe if you still cared

Wondered maybe if I still mattered

You’re showing no proof of that

“Oh you’re back.” “Why are you here?”

“We’ll return you tomorrow.”

“Didn’t expect you back so soon.”

I don’t think I matter, not to you at least

I’m ruining your happy life

Should have gotten rid of me of us

I robbed you of your childhood

Stole away your chance at happiness

Now this karma coming to take its due

Hurting me for hurting you

Being born, moving in, visiting a weekend

Now this is karma coming to take its due

Hurting me for hurting you

I don’t mind so much anymore

This pain caused by being close to you

Because I understand I deserve it

I am only paying back what I unknowingly stole away

Still I cannot help but feel

This sorrow is unfairly caused only because I

Am standing close to you
