Openly say

Openly say

A Poem by Tenten

I can talk about it now… openly

You unconscious cruelty

I guess, in a way, it shows

How much I’m letting go

Yet, how deep these wounds travel

You see… I let you off and kissed

Good-bye the pretense of happiness

You forced me to wear

Smile, your joy your happiness

Dance your jig of perfection

Keep your mask with sealed painted eyes

Displayed, proudly, on your visage

Don’t deceive yourself though

Don not pretend they don’t know

And in a way I will be there

To clean up another broken mask

Because I like myself enough

To do that for a woman

Even if its you, my own absent

‘Mother’?

Sad,, I guess we all have our imperfections and that is the truth, but with relatives it is surely harder on any individual.

Nice poem =)

Me
