Words hit different this time

Some understanding, version of acceptance was obtained

Past is forgiven, regret will linger

No hatred, feelings of betrayal trail behind

Words are different now

The understanding alters that biased perspective

So watch as anger fades

Or don’t look back continuing on with your life

That changed world will persist on

Still hoping for your existence

But there will be no killing pain

If your existence does not coincide
