Your View

Your View

A Poem by Tenten

I never got your view on the end

Of our time spent in parks past midnight

Running in summer rain storms

Music flows that our ears heard

The late night cigarettes inhaled

Dead day pick ups

sudden random phone calls

I never got your view did I?

On why it all had to end

Because up till five minutes ago

Selfish pain and betrayal

Clouded the mind of this child

And left her running to any arms

That would offer comfort from the pain

So I’m asking your view

As to why it all had to end

On the sour note of heartache beats

Those melody flows ending abruptly

The truth, regardless of bias distaste,

Must be known to this soul

So I’m asking for your truth on why it all had to end
