A memory running

A memory running

A Poem by Tenten

The day light fades

Darkened clouds

A memory of running

From one end of town

To another

In empty dark streets

As lights blink out

Grasping tightly to

Meager messenger backs

We had made them mean

More than pieces sewn together

By hands from a dubbed third

World that is our place to be

Content as artists

Without the outside reality

Slaying the dreams posed

In child like souls

That separated with a hug

‘be safe take care’

Splitting to houses

Someone once dubbed ‘home’

Hoping the other safe

Warm and dry

Asleep contently after

A run in sky tears

That posed harsh beauty

The day light fades

Darkened clouds

A memory of running

Fearful from the start

Smiling inside

Just a little

In the dripping end
