It’s three o’clockk

The mind is dead

Dregs of painful yesterday’s

Circling as tea leaves in

The mind’s recent past

 

It’s three o’clock

The clouds are heavy

Purple lining of snow

Circling the world

Surrounding the empty mind

 

It’s three o’clock

The hands are weighed down

With the lack of sleep

Spent too much time fending off

Circling nightmare vultures

That threatened to overwhelm the min
