Past, Now, PresentA Poem by Tenten
Past Do you remember the innocence we one possessed The long time ago when the world was new That time that beauty could be anywhere Within anyone that was alive Because back then death did not exist Back then broken hearts where not true Back then the back yard was the world The time when dreams ruled a child’s mind Tell me can you remember that time When innocence could still be found The Now With snow falls and heavy clouds Cold days mixed to heavy music Fast quick beat sweet slow voices Innocence can be recalled to the soul With simple looks strangers can see What is no longer held inside With a simple smile and change of words A demon will believe that jaded does not exist On days like these innocence can be recalled Reclaimed in momentary sets of naivety You may not remember but that is why Others exists, to show that long time ago
Present
These days its not so hard to recall the no longer held It is not a battle to find the smile That deceives fools of lovers On days like this the child is near by Tears do not stain her cheeks she does not fear another’s touch She does not fear all, only those unknown And only those with that wicked master face She is close and the pain of then does not haunt her alone Share in that harm and allow a smile to dance Even now there is not enough cruelty inside To leaver her all alone So on these days it is easy to reclaim that child
