Don't Mind the lies

Don't Mind the lies

A Poem by Tenten

I don’t mind being lied to

(Really I don’t)

I don’t mind you lying to me

(Honestly it’s the truth)

Your lies anger me

(They upset me)

A lot, they make me cry

(But I forgive you)

I know your lies make you happy

(They protect you from me)

But you see I have a wish

(Just one silly little wish)

That no longer you would lie to me

(There is a reason for this request)

You don’t need to lie anymore

(Your lies have no use now)

Somewhere along the way I grew strength

(Became aware of the little power in me)

Your lies only cause unneeded damage

(This recognized strength helps to handle the truth)

So please stop your calloused lies

(Finally speak the words you think I never knew)
