A Poem by Tenten

Where were you 10 minutes ago

when the world was dying and man smiled at murder?

Lost in your own world trying to breathe again,

I guess you’ve decided there’s a reason to live

in this place you despise.

did you see the scar they ripped in her?

            tearing trees from her face!

do you know the pain they create?

            setting fire to her soil!

did you see our blessed mother die?

as fight to battle war became God!

say, did you view the car turn on?

to choke away her lovely life!

watch the pipes stab deeper into her core?

            ripping out black life!

did you know they bathed her in blood?!

            watch another TV gunfight.

     ooops there goes Mother’s Life.

did you, did you, . . . do you know

you killed our mother this mourning

                   oh yes you did

                        just lighting up that cigarette

tell me did you know you smiled as you murdered

                                    …our precious life giver.
