To finish my first novel, An Owl on the Moon, I listened to Sting’s “Desert Rose” no less than a hundred times… It made my mind like a flame set free in a forest… Such are the muses of my mind… What brings words alive in you?

I have a feeling YOU will be something to bring alive the words in me. Other then that, the experiences of life, and music. Like you, music. I hear a song and fall into a world so incredibly uncontrolled if the music stops I cannot continue writing unless I press the play button again. I've spent countless hours listening to the same songs, I thought I was crazy but maybe not. Then again, maybe we're both crazy?
Amazing.... I just can't get enough of your poems! (:

Rich rich write, full of imagery in high level. I like that. The unreachable is always the most lovely muse there exists. As I recognize some of your words deeply. I can't wait to read your novel, it will be written for sure in a technicolour only you can!
Words are your drug, and you weave them to intoxicate us. The 'chopped up' style of this adds to the dreamlike quality, it's like looking into the vortex of your thoughts...for a moment. Full of feeling and imagery. I just love it. Excellent work again.

Firstly - those photos you found to go with this are great! It's been so long since I've seen (or read) Alice in Wonderland...I'll put it on my to do list haha
I've missed reading you Craig! What you write is always so beautiful with this 'magical' feel (for lack of a better word) and this piece does not disappoint. Beautiful imagery from start to finish. I love especially these lines:
"... intoxication born in shadows and moonsong…
melodic medicine poured deep in my sunset smiles as morning kisses night’s dark cheek…"
I really enjoyed reading this piece.
Hope all is well.
2024 is here... May we make it so much more heaven than hell... Wishing all peace on earth... Together, maybe we go the distance...
The night has a thousand eyes,
And the day but one;
Yet t.. more..
