This is exquisite writing. It so reminded me of the moment in "V for Vendetta" after V is finished torturing her and showing her the 'way' he takes her out into the rain, and all the self-pity and fear and darkness in her washes away as she muses that "God is in the rain." You've captured the concept of that moment stunningly with this. I was truly enraptured by it, as I am with every one of your writing.
