In Weather's Feast

In Weather's Feast

A Poem by An owl on the moon
"

An orchestra of birdsong in weather’s feast…

"

Flakes of white chocolate drifting

dancing over the landscape lifting…

As the yellow pineapple sun sings

a lilting papaya cloud lullaby brings…

On my warm tongue served fine and cold

vanilla ribbons of icing-cream unfold…

And in the hunger of warmer winds

scents of grilling-stirred breezes move in…

Catching crystal drops of white-wine rain

drip-dropping, never stopping candy canes…

Cinnamon and scarlet spinning swirls release

An orchestra of birdsong in weather’s feast...

Beautiful, and delicious..sound, texture, colorwonderful
I just wish it were like that outside, just a little..The Weather feast here in the mountains of Pa. has been famine like..still cold, rain and snow..25 degrees this morning..ground frozen again..but the feast is coming, I can see it in the dafodills breaking through the crust..
...yet still the "crystal drops of white-wine rain" are still snowflakes..though the forecast calls for 60 by Sunday...
Great job, Craig, I enjoyed reading this poem..
