Born of darkness...

For those who find themselves in darkness…

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

DAY  is born of darkness

When a tranquil light begins

It suffocates the stillness

And scrapes away the skin

Of blinding insecurity

And screaming fear within...

 

SPRING  is born of winter

When fire burns the frost

It mutilates the muted greys

Rips wide the meadows crossed

With bursting shades of color

And life that once lay lost...

 

HOPE  is born of sorrow

When illumination cries

It strangulates the blindness

And with it all dread dies

For surviving pain and trouble

Gives wings so now one flies...

Sometimes we have to go through dark times to realize that we need a change in our lives, after the dark nights of winter are over we can be born new again, like spring after a long winter. A wonderful poem! I am still struggling through dark times...thanks for the inspiration!
