Born of darkness...

Born of darkness...

A Poem by An owl on the moon
"

For those who find themselves in darkness…

"

DAY  is born of darkness

When a tranquil light begins

It suffocates the stillness

And scrapes away the skin

Of blinding insecurity

And screaming fear within...

SPRING  is born of winter

When fire burns the frost

It mutilates the muted greys

Rips wide the meadows crossed

With bursting shades of color

And life that once lay lost...

HOPE  is born of sorrow

When illumination cries

It strangulates the blindness

And with it all dread dies

For surviving pain and trouble

Gives wings so now one flies...

you are blessed. You create another sacred poem!
before all else, the title is very perfect...
Your words are so heartfelt and heart-warming. You have a hallowed imagination. The second stanza is wonderful, dark, awe-inspiring and sad. "Hope is born of sorrow" This sentence makes me ponder...
I love all of it, I cherish every word and every line :à
Well-done. Keep writing. You are one of the best writers here (at least for me)

Craig, this is so pure, serene, sacred and unblemished a world of spring and hope, I wish your lines awaken the flames of creation and illumination in all the ecology among us, so that we all are resurrected into purer, gentler, richer beings with the fragrance, the light and generosity of a new spring of our lives. The daylight will come my friend--we all would be waiting for that!

So. I just realised I had been holding my breath the entire time while reading this... twice. Amazing, amazing, amazing! Your words create such vivid, precise and real images in my mind that I become captivated by them. The words you have chosen for this effect are such strong and powerful ones.

I love how you began with the darkness and transitioned into hope, showing the inner transformation that is possible for anyone who may be facing a dark time in their lives. Great poem, no empty praise here!

I loved this one craig both form and content. I do not fear the dark but I prefer the daylight for most things. Some things however are rendered more intimate in te comfort of darkness
