Born of darkness...

Born of darkness...

A Poem by An owl on the moon
"

For those who find themselves in darkness…

"

DAY  is born of darkness

When a tranquil light begins

It suffocates the stillness

And scrapes away the skin

Of blinding insecurity

And screaming fear within...

SPRING  is born of winter

When fire burns the frost

It mutilates the muted greys

Rips wide the meadows crossed

With bursting shades of color

And life that once lay lost...

HOPE  is born of sorrow

When illumination cries

It strangulates the blindness

And with it all dread dies

For surviving pain and trouble

Gives wings so now one flies...

you are blessed. You create another sacred poem!
before all else, the title is very perfect...
Your words are so heartfelt and heart-warming. You have a hallowed imagination. The second stanza is wonderful, dark, awe-inspiring and sad. "Hope is born of sorrow" This sentence makes me ponder...
I love all of it, I cherish every word and every line :à
Well-done. Keep writing. You are one of the best writers here (at least for me)

"Sometimes, at night you can see the stars."
I love this poem. It's beautifully written, the rhyme and rhythm flow so naturally, mirroring the natural transformations that are being described. The message here is brilliant, and brilliantly delivered. This is one of my favourite poems in a very long time.

Read this three times in one sitting. Craig, beautiful work. Renewal is what keeps not only us going, but our world.

Found your word usage of suffocates, mutilates and strangulates stunning. All harsh words yet so counter balanced by the light, color and hope.

Hope floats; it helps keep us buoyant and more resilient to all the stress in today's world
Hope brings light. It can make a daydreams come true. It can make castles in the air a home on land.
My favorite lines: "It mutilates the muted greys, rips wide the meadows crossed.

Give wings so now one flies!
If we just tuff it out we'll make it through the darken times back into the bright sunshine and sprout our wings and fly! I love this poem!

There's always hope in a hopeless situation. I love how you convey so much with so little. XD.
