With what wonder?

With what wonder?

A Poem by An owl on the moon
"

With what wonder has the season come?

"

With what wonder has the season come?

Its treasure lies in earthen ships,

that carry dreams across the foam.

And how your memory of her now rapes

the fleshly heart that once bore scenes,

so veiled in smoky stains of tears;

it cries as on its crutches leans,

and ever fills itself with fears.

Be born anew to taste the sky

Lay waste cocoon and upwind fly...

Interesting write.."And how your memory of her now rapes the fleshly heart that once bore scenes"...Love that once was but no longer is and the pain is still there and still hard to bare...I am glad that I chose this one to read this afternoon..I can feel the pain that you are portraying in these lines..Your comments were so uplifting today...I am feeling a little down..The pain in my back, hip and leg is very bad today and I can 't do the work that I need to do around here...Ten more days before I can see a surgeon..I want healing and not surgery but right now I'll take either one which ever comes first..Sunflower

"Smoky stains of tears"...a good way to describe running mascara... I lost the thought pattern near the end...seemed to have went from leaning on crutches to crawling out of a cocoon and flying against the wind...hmmmm....lol Nice write Craig.

Hello Craig,

Someone already took my adjective. This took me deep to a memory of a "her". This poem touched me in a very emotional and personal way. It was beautifully written, and I do love the last line. So true.

Excellent work.

Regards,

Matthew

Wow, that's pretty and even melancholy at the same time.
I adore the image, too. Nice one, Craig!

I relate so well here because I had to shed that infernal cocoon that was so comforting for such a long time. Your words are sublime Craig and you make your point extremely well. It is dark, but it can't be anything else...
Loved it...all of it!!

Cheers~

Helen~
