Of all the ways and grace of Earth

Of all the ways and grace of Earth

A Poem by An owl on the moon
"

World comes to life in misted sleep..

Of all the ways and grace of Earth,

We give thanks for autumn’s birth

In ripling harvests of rippling soil

We give thanks for strength to toil

Now dream of enchanted Saturn skies

And this season’s living lullabies

In emerald’s lush turned scarlet ripe

In dancing colors’ succulent stripes

Fragrance of pumpkin spices swift

Round apple cider’s luscious drift

Dancing, drifting, in lifting smiles

Families united from across the miles

World comes to life in misted sleep

As harvest moons light all we reap

The earth’s flutters in darkest shades

Meadows now slumber in gilded glades...

It does give a sense of summer ebbing away and winter being ushered in. I find fall such a sad season. It's so beautiful but what it brings is so cold and dark, but setting that aside, autumn in itself is as wonderful as you so deftly describe. Very pleasant piece.

How beautiful your words are, they flow with peace and gentle early morning ripples. You so often add colour to your poetry and that enhances the scene(s) you're setting, this is no exception. Lovely, Craig, truly lovely.

'Now dream of enchanted Saturn skies

(Love it when writers create words!)
