My darling, I can only    hope and pray this reaches you. Last   one. I’m the  last one… Have all their     bodies ˜ here.. around me. It’s a    nightm are   .  night ma re

So many attacked    us in the night. Pinned   us in these rocks.. lost a lot of blood.. and they’re sti ll close. Can hear    them shouting. Tryin g to th i n k  of yo u. to smi le. So beau ti ful you ar e  to  me.

I’m ˜   not afraid  to die.. I’m dead    already.. fingers jus t won’t stop writing.. I’m just    afraid I won’t see you    again.. and never see our new baby˜.. Let her know her   daddy will always watch over her.. that I tried     so hard to    fight back..we all did..   to   ˜do what’s right. Tell her to never give up.. no matter  ho w  many  tell he r  it ca n’t  be do ne.

Growing weak.. God   have mercy on our souls… I hear    footsteps.. closer now.. someone here..  my God  . Dar li   n g I l  ov e  ˜  ˜

This was truly original! I love the overall idea, along with the creative font and antique style you've presented this. As simple as this writing is, it was very realistic, at least in my opinion. As in, this poem made you feel there was honestly footsteps of someone coming closer! Bravo, and thanks for yet another wonderful poem! :D

This is so dramatic, in the best of ways. With the way it is written, I can really feel the gasping of breath and the will to push forward and fight. The emotions in this piece come out so clear that by the end, it wouldn't surprise me if you have a few who cry.
The layout, the visual, is stunning. Absolutely beautiful. It's one of the best and most complete things I have seen in a long time.

in all of your works you seem to hit the nail on the head and tell us precisely how you could, would and did it! bravo! I liked the visual staging too...

Emotional, strong, concise. It has a good sense of urgency and reality... great piece. c:

this is as close as it gets to an original one ! this is precisely what a man would say to his love in the last moments of his life . truly seemed like a letter fused with heart felt words . keep writing

This is heartbreaking, there must have been letters and letters like this in the past .. and that's the truth of it. You've written sadly and superbly, Craig, and show a great and sensitive heart.

This is really, really good. It completely leaves the reader wondering what all happened to the writer, and what his situation was. Great job!

Amazing... Craig I love stuff like this. I once came across an old letter written by a man to his love (Woman). At the time I was never interested in the writings of poetry or anything close to it as I would rather face a firing squad than to have to write.

This is a favorite of mine... You did well brother at writing this.

well.... what is your summation on this piece, Craig? I think I need a word from the author to help me understand what prompted this sad writing. Did you come across a letter like this? I am in such suspense! Please tell me! :)
