Rainy days caress

the windows in silver

drizzled on the glass...

I want to curl up

and sleep in her mind

swim the deep water

of her dreams...

If the rain falls

like sad faces all around

then open me up

spread out my arms

I’ll cover her

and be her umbrella man

shade her from words

in the atmosphere

that descend like knives...

For now life painted wine red

dripping down my canopy

chocolate raindrops

mix with truffled kisses

confessions of forever...

Please let me swim

the deep water

of her dreams…

This is such a delightfully romantic poem; your words just flow like the rain and conjur up such a wonderful series of pictures. If I have to choose favourites lines they would be: 'I want to curl up ~ and sleep in her mind ~ swim the deep water ~ in her dreams... '

the man who protects ladies in rainy days! Umbrella-Man! People should make a comic book out of this idea, there are millions of women out there that need to be protected and feel safe and secure, but not enough real men to do that...
