I remember the tune

Under the midnight moon

The small town girl

She lived in that lonely world…

♫ ♬♪

And the music moved

How his journey proved

To that one city boy

Who’d come from South Detroit…

♫ ♬♪

When the world comes in

Some lose and some win

I won’t stop believin

Must find a place to achieve in

Somewhere in the night…

♫ ♬♪

Strangers wander up and down

That friendless boulevard in town

Those streetlight people roam

Cast their last dice for home…

♫ ♬♪

Want to share that smile

See others brightened awhile

Been working hard to get my fill

Doesn’t everybody want that thrill?

♫ ♬♪

When the world comes in

Some lose and some win

I won’t stop believin

Must find a place to achieve in

Somewhere in the night…

♫ ♬♪

Oh, that movie never ends

It just goes on and on my friends…

♫ ♬♪

... beautifully written, Craig ... what a song ... so inspirational ... and so earnest ... the risk with writing something like this is that it could go over the top ... but you spin a magic song here ... amazingly well done ... liked these lines a lot ...

When the world comes in
Some lose and some win
I won’t stop believin
Must find a place to achieve in
Somewhere in the night…

Nicely penned. Very moving - melancholic yet hopeful in the end. Thanks for sharing your talent once again.

I had to smile because I love this song and I am a closeted Glee fan. Tell anyone and I will Deny. This was a remarkable piece. Your words flow really well. The words tie together with the song perfectly.

Great song, sweet poet... love the second stanza... I'm sure most of us have felt the feelings you express at one time or another.... and definitely the nostalgia...

Lovely format....

Nice :) I immediately thought of Journey when I saw the title of this. Awesome song. I agree with Analog Kid, I like that you posted the sheet music first and then the altered lyrics. Nice.
