IMMERSED

 

I want to immerse

myself in you
mesh together
hand-to-hand
heart-with-heart.

Memorize you

every dream

every freckle

every curve

every joy.

Absorbed.

Bathed.

Covered with us.

Saturated and

melting together

where each raindrop

is a recollection

of your smile

as the drops slither

slide down

slip over glass

gliding

like fingers

over your skin.

In the wind

I hear the echoes

of your voice

and feel your

soft caress.

So I gaze

glare

survey

stare

into your eyes

into your thoughts

into your mystery.

As snowflakes now
float and fall like
ashen butterflies

and blanket earth
may we blend

into one

becoming

completely

IMMERSED…
