In whispered worlds of chance...

In whispered worlds of chance...

A Poem by An owl on the moon
"

Will I find the Wonderland I saw in your first, sweet glance?

"

Do dreams die or merely sleep

in whispered worlds of chance?

And will I find the Wonderland

I saw in your first, sweet glance?

Is the world of substance all

one can ever hope to hold?

Are there not deeper worlds

with numberless gifts untold?

I feel you so much closer now

as fleeting glimpses wink and sigh.

And I reach for you in my dreams;

the touch of your soft skin’s lullaby.

I will search a thousand skies

in endless sunsets’ scarlet bliss.

Until I find your dreamish life

and am awakened by your kiss.

oh this was a very sweet poem. I feel like this would be more dedicated to a child than a spouse.

It sounds as if you are talking about the gift of a child, or the love from a child.

I adore this, Craig! Rhyme scheme enhances perfect flow... Format is wonderful, subdued font, lower case letters in the title.... You have created passion in a gentle, soft touch.

I just can't establish my favorite stanza... I do know that the very first line reveals the poem's depth and warmth, and your power with words doesn't stop there.

You suggest something so real in that life is chance, and you do this with romance, passion and intrigue.

'Do dreams die or merely sleep
in whispered worlds of chance?'

Very nice.........
