Life…

such a journey…

Been so many cold days;

so many lonely moments

even in those crowded rooms.

And when she came along

I don’t think she knew

just how much she gave to me

with a simple smile

her kind hello.

My heart felt alive again

felt like I could do anything

with her close.

Now all I think of

is being with her;

making her happy.

I want to see her

dressed in white.

Want to dance

with our children

by the sea.

Want her to know

she’s the only one

who can make me tremble.

The only one

who melts me like wax.

The only one

I want to grow old with.

She’s the only one…

To face emptiness, cold and lonely. A crowded room is just that a crowd with no intimacy. Then you meet the one person that lights up the whole room with their presence. Just being with them fills an empty void that was so deep you felt the sun would never reach down within. Now you can envision a future. A life with laughter and a heritage to pass on to the children that you long to have with this special person. Finally you are a live and life is wonderful. With her by your side you can conquer the world and all obstacles in your path. She is why you exist and you will do anything within your power to see that she is happy. A beautiful and loving heart wrote this magnificent work on how to love and in return be loved. How wonderful of you to share such an intimate part of your life's journal.

All jokes aside, this is a very sincere write, speaking volumes about the impact simply meeting just one person can have on our lives. Simple, but eloquent. Relatable, but heartfelt. Excellent work.

Perhaps the broad introduction of "life...journey" could be worked in a way that eases into the rest of the piece. I am nitpicking a litle because I can't find too much to suggest (it's good!), but it goes from such a huge intimidating idea, life, to a much more specific situation with "her". Again, nitpicking, but I dig it.

Now that would melt any woman's heart to know she has that effect... true love can make the whole world seem right and without it even being around people can make you feel alone... when you win the heart of a good woman there is no greater treasure... what an endearing and beautiful write.
