Shes the only one

Shes the only one

A Poem by An owl on the moon
"

Another page from my diary

"

Life…

such a journey…

Been so many cold days;

so many lonely moments

even in those crowded rooms.

And when she came along

I don’t think she knew

just how much she gave to me

with a simple smile

her kind hello.

My heart felt alive again

felt like I could do anything

with her close.

Now all I think of

is being with her;

making her happy.

I want to see her

dressed in white.

Want to dance

with our children

by the sea.

Want her to know

she’s the only one

who can make me tremble.

The only one

who melts me like wax.

The only one

I want to grow old with.

She’s the only one…

A very, very well written piece, Craig. The boundless love you feel for this woman comes off the screen like a silk scarf caressing those who witness it.

Loved it!

The sentiment is lovely, and you captured it so well. The images are vivid... the white dress, little ones playing by the sea... it's like a montage of sorts. Well done. I really like this piece.

And you are the only one who can produce such a nice thought-provoking piece! Every word and every sentence has kinda sequence to overwhelm me. It is difficult for me to fathom the richness in it sometimes, though, as I am akeen to hold back the last point of emotion that this poem fills me with; all in all, I am deeply sated with it.

I am just melted...

Thank you.

This definitely brought some tears to my eyes.
You depict love so accurately and with such passion. :)

I think one thing that stands out about many of your love poems it that they are never cheesey! I think that is the hardest thing for a writer to do is to step over and around the clique. this almost reminds me of the song "You" by evanescence.

Give and receive, wonderful Craig and another little gem from you. Your gentle pen never ceases to amaze me, the flow of your text is amazingly beautiful with no obscurity, which means that your reader doesn't have to work...just enjoy. There is such joy and hope here and it is my wish that it all came/comes true for you, it holds promise of a delightful life filled with the kind of love everyone deserves.
Kudos...

Helen~
