LIKE ETERNAL SUMMER

LIKE ETERNAL SUMMER

A Poem by An owl on the moon
"

Wanting... waiting to see you...

"

Sailing

through the sky

on a flight,

long and restless.

Wanting…

waiting to see you.

Step… step… step

moving down

that long thin corridor.

Glance out

into the wall

of humanity.

Hearing laughter,

endless conversations,

clatter and noice.

Looking out across

the faces

until

I see

your eyes.

What enchantment!

Your lips curl up;

sweet smile,

like eternal summer.

I run to you,

pull you up

in my arms.

Your legs

wrap around me

and I breathe in

the scent of apples

and peppermint.

A soft, long,

lingering kiss.

A moment;

Oh a moment

I never wanted to end.

And in that crowded,

noisy airport,

there was only

you and me…

Oh I love this one. It is like an experience I had with a dear friend of mine who came to visit me for a week. Great images in this one. It really reminds me of the raw joy and this poem depicts the happiness I remember of an event like this not so long ago. Beautiful piece, just like every other work you do. Good job!

Such a brilliant write to one of those moments you don't want to end. I felt like I was there, watching from within the crowd as you lived this moment. Excellent job!

I love it, so simple , so beautiful , you are the master of the love poem my dear friend, you have the unique talent to write only few lines and send the reader into a new reality , there , waiting with you for your girl , in the crowded airport, I could feel your anticipation, I could feel how you love her, and once she appear, what a joy what a beautiful moment , thank you Yossi

Really excellent words. I thoroughly enjoyed the way in which you built up the scene like a snapshot, taking the MOMENT and putting it into words. I haven't really seen too many pieces that extrapolate the moment on this site, instead many focus on "big pictures", so it was refreshing.

If I could make one little suggestion, move the picture to the end of the piece if you can. I think the mind should be allowed to imagine the scene before being exposed to the author's idea of what is occurring. Just a slight detail in the presentation, but overall the piece is excellent.

The sights, sounds, smells and joys that create a memorable reunion between two that have been seperated for awhile. You so well describe the anticipation of seeing the familiar face within the sea of faces that are all searching for the someoe whose arrival is anxiously awaited. Truly a kodak moment for the memory vault of the mind. As always you have created a great piece of poetic artwork.

I am always entranced by the honesty of the smallest moments, Craig. To be able to describe one so well that I can see it, feel it, hear it... wonderful talent. There is something about airports and train stations too that makes each moment even more precious when there is someone waiting for you. I know when life changes are happening, it is always a train station I dream about. Maybe there's some universal truth about waiting for your beloved there?

You have created a piece that delves into the very soul. I feel the soothing love, peaceful warmth wrapped between a lover that is true! This piece is so gentle and comforting! Beautiful! ~ Jude :-)
