And what are words to poets?

And what are words to poets?

A Poem by An owl on the moon
"

For all my friends here at the Cafe... Your words make a difference...

What are words to poets?

Deep blue

in their able brush

soft as seraph whispers

they paint your midnight sighs

smiling softly in your sleep

drifting in dreams…

They are scarlet strokes

Knives stained in the blood

of kings

of martyrs

of rebels

of the innocent…

Words are golden treasures

Sunsets and similes

sonnets and songs

Latin rhythms

rock beats

pounding

driving

filling minds with inspiration

or unbridled passions…

Words inspire

Incite war

devastate hearts

convey peace

recount tragedy…

And what are words to poets?

They are life in letters

strung like pearls

worn in grace

priceless

powerful

profound

WORDS…

What are words to poets?...Hmmm:
What are hands, to a clock?.....Purpose: The only means of delivering meaning;
What are raindrops, to thunderheads?.....Fulfillment: The completion of intended purpose;
What are seeds, to flowers?.....Potential: The first and predominant mode of achieving Fulfillment!

Each letter is a brush stroke when we create a painting through words... the style really makes it pop and the format adds to the power of the piece... words are everything when the heart is speaking.

I sooo like this: it's formatted beautifully so it entices the reader to enter its world; the phrasing from start to finish makes for a stop to think, maybe re-read and. behind it all is a poet who certainly loves words.

My reflection is words are 'everything' . Words are intention, invention, meditation and mediation.

Your words are inspiring and thought-provoking.

This seems quite different to your usual style, more like performance poetry. I could hear the words being read aloud as I read on the screen. I like this new you!

Words inspire
Incite war
devastate hearts

Strong stuff.

And what are words to poets but 'warm, soft, ache, sweet, hate, pain' and again you have penned a lovely ode to that which we are here for, to share, to care. Truly beautiful! Well done.

Siddartha
