Inside my SOUL...

Inside my SOUL...

A Poem by An owl on the moon
"

An older piece revisited...

"

Pale and clouded, lying motionless;

winter’s fury, summer’s flame.

Faded faces, speaking shrilly,

wrestling, stalking in my mind.

Rising, weeping in a corner;

laughing, racing in a field.

Still and stable, screeching silence;

crawling age and creeping years.

I stand on winter’s crippling strand,

staring and shaking by the sight

of embering photos in a drawer,

bathed in memory’s dying dust.

And yet this moment I have peace,

for hope is seared inside my soul.

Now to sweep it and filter it all up wet it down to substance and meld it... Yes, thats advice I think.

"staring and shaking by the sight"... perhaps shaken?

Like it, good write.
it's disjointed, erratic and that I can relate to I can see things hurling through the air at speeds that would break your fingers if they hit the pen, thus you only hold up a small portion in motion (its less ouchie like that) ..

Hope is seared inside my soul.. As long as it still burns it prompts a fight of some sort.

That painting is amazing!!! It is so suited to this piece filled with the anguish that goes on in so many souls...the only thing missing was a pack of cigarettes!!
Beautiful phrasing Craig with a special personal touch...you give so freely of yourself and I admire that in a writer, it takes courage and commitment to successfully put a piece such as this on a page...kudos my friend.

You words always form the most beautiful pictures another wonderful write. Then ending I loved... it has almost a tranquil aspect to it.

A striking pictorial collage of emotions. Really like how you seem to acknowledge that they speak of the moment to us.

I loved the ending. And there really is something about photos. How even if the memories themselves have begun to fade, they can bring us back to another time, feeling, state of mind. Thank you for sharing.

This is marvelous, "Bathed in memory's dying dust." Is my favorite line.
