SUN, SEA, AND SKY...

SUN, SEA, AND SKY...

A Poem by An owl on the moon
"

To live without the sun, sea, or sky...

"

SUN

Music of morning

Warm radiance of day

Dancing across moon’s face

Mystic, movement at dawn…

SEA

Moving in melody

Song of blue life

Restless peace inspired

Deep, sensual joy at midday…

SKY

A painted tapestry

Of azure, white, and gray

Like ruby lips at dawn

Rich, golden skin at dusk…

Life

To live without the

Sun, sea, or sky but

Never wanting to live

A day without your love…

The role of nature plays a significant part in our existence. Life is dull without the touch of light, music and color. You have presented very good description and vivid imagery . This is a well-crafted piece of writing.

Very romantic but a bit cliche' at the end since there is no life without sun, sea or sky and no life equals no love. But I understand, it is a bit like one promising the stars to his lover. One never dreams that she might try to collect. lol A great, tenderly penned write.

What a truly beautiful poem!

Reading it a second time, I realise that, with just a few finely placed words, you've said as much as a tome ... that last verse makes this reader almost breathless, what incredible depth of feeling.

Thank you for sharing.

Wow.. superb love divine.. I agree with Rock N Roll Cowboy and the ending is so unique too.. that you would sacrifice those greatest things to not go without someone's love.. awesome writing!!! =)

A beautiful portrayal of some of God's greatest creations but the last stanza is like the ultimate sacrifice for love... what a truly romantic write.
