I heard the sound of an angels wings

I heard the sound of an angels wings

A Poem by An owl on the moon
"

I feel your touch...

"

I heard the sound of an angel's wings

a flutter, a flurry, I feel your touch…

Heard the echo of their sighing music

like whispers uttered in the darkness

like breath softly stroking naked air…

Feathers soft, fragrant like snowdrops

Stirring the darkness with wispy winds…

I hear the sound of an angel’s wings

And you walk through the door…

Hush...

Hush...

Hush...

How the hell do you write like this!??!?!?!?!?!? You and another favorite here Siddartha, have an uncanny way of writing so romantically poetic! This is something I've been trying to do(and failing terribly), but you have a great, sensitive, and visual pen that keeps me intrigued and puts me into YOUR mood! This was incredible and I envy your talent!

Your words come alive when I read them... Your word ARE the angel, fluttering its wings in front of me. This is a lovely write. Very well done, my friend.

Wow! Great poem. The angel in the picture is a bit of a curiosity though...How can she fly in those heavy shoes. Ahh... But perhaps that is the topic of a differant poem. "The Angel wore Brogans"

She was an angel, oh so pretty
and wore brogans on her feet
they kept her bound to this dusty earth
and somehow kept her close to me

There was a little hell
in those black lacquered shoes
That kept her from her flight
and allowed me to steal an angels kiss
in a long and dreamless night

(Ok...I admit it...I Suck!)

I really did like your poem though!

Craig, what a wonderful poem....The three lines above could make a poem themselves.

Thanks for sharing brother.

Feathers soft, fragrant like snowdrops

Stirring the darkness with wispy winds

just love this part but the whole thing is softly passionate mixed with a divine spirituality of two souls in love.
