You make poison taste like wine

You make poison taste like wine

A Poem by An owl on the moon
"

Oh, those toxic relationships!

"

You make poison taste like wine;

Make dying a breathtaking time.

Suffocating beauty draped in white

Drowning in your childlike light.

Feed me cakes with sugared shards;

Bury me alive in your crimson yard.

Your toxic skin is soft and warm;

In burning screams I fall deformed.

Stab me, shoot me; I don’t care…

I need your touch, your taste, your stare.

You make poison taste like wine...

Ouch! The title is captivating, color and choice of font makes this write even more inviting to read. I was truly drawn into this :
"Feed me cakes with sugared shards;
Bury me alive in your crimson yard." ~ Wonderful lines. This poems speaks of bittersweet love and fatal attraction to the extreme. Nice work.

Boy am I out of the loop. I thought I reviewed this one already! Craig....
This:
"Stab me, shoot me; I don't care
I need your touch, your taste, your stare."
Is the perfect line! I love it.
You know what I'd love to see? I'd love to see you step out of your comfort zone of rhyming and try free verse a bit more. I bet you could conjure up some wicked writing!
Nice job, brother bear! :)

This is..intense.

I especially loved the part where you said: "Your toxic skin is soft and warm;

In burning screams I fall deformed."

That was killer. In all, I loved the way you described this adoration for someone who was not good for you, this was an excellent write.

The font definitely helped add meaning.

Oh Yes, There are such people. Walking paradoxes - bitter-sweet, love-hate, "free me but don't untie me." Problem people - but none of this sums them up as your poem does, and on top of all this, you find a font that says it all again and print it all in a colour that brings to mind a 1959 Medoc (mmmm!) then I find it's corked!

It's amazing how you can get so attatched to someone who's not good for you. I love every part of this poem. It's flow is amazing and the words you use to describe everything are amazing. I love this one!

Great poem, but I really think that you should change the last verse to something that you haven't written before in the poem...something kowel and witty.
Anywayz great illustration of passion and addiction.

This is really great. It gives the effect that light for one person is dark from someone else..irresistable darkness

I agree with others. This was a beautiful poem. I loved the line "You make poison taste like wine." You present a platonic relationship beautifully. Great job with this!
